Odia woman rifle shooter Shriyanka Sardangi bagged three medals in the Inter Shoot 2017 Shooting Championship held at The Hague in Netherlands from February 1 to 4, 2017. She two silver medals in individual events and one gold in team event.
Sambalpur lass Shriyanka now has a total of 18 medals in her kitty, which include four gold, 11 silver and three bronze. She had won her first international medal, a gold, in the Asian Airgun Shooting Championship at Kuwait in October 2011.
In the 2017 Inter Shoot Championship, Shriyanka bagged the two silver medals in 10m air rifle women individual events, scoring 248.9 and 246.9 points. Her compatriot Meghana Mallikarjun Sajjanara claimed the gold in both the events.
Shriyanka along with Meghana Mallikarjun Sajjanara and Namrata Arora grabbed gold medal in women air rifle team event with total score of 1241.9 points. The contribution of Shriyanka was 412.4 points in team event.
